Orlando C. Scott, M.Div., is a father, pastor, educator, community advocate and speaker. He is the Lead Chaplain at Northside Hospital in Duluth, Georgia specializing in trauma and critical care. Orlando is active in the general church ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and for years he served as the Clinical Site Supervisor for first and second-year seminarians at Candler School of Theology at Emory University.
In 2020, Orlando felt the call to community-based ministry and launched AMPLIFY Christian Church, located in Snellville, Georgia. The mission of AMPLIFY is to educate holistically, empower spiritually and engage communally, including a community garden and sustainable food sourcing.
Orlando is a proud veteran of the United States Navy who served in Operation Desert Storm. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Education and a Bachelor's degree in Urban Ministry and Public Policy from Beulah Heights University. He also earned a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Christian Education and Theology, from Morehouse School of Religion - Interdenominational Theological Center. Orlando holds a certificate in Applied and IT Project Management from Villanova University and has two years of clinical pastoral education. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree from Philips Theological Seminary.
